SpellTable <> Wizards
Hi all,
»Hi all,
»0.1.26 contains a two small updates.
»0.1.22 contains a handful of small things users have been requesting quite a bit.
»Since we’ve been busy building SpellTable, we haven’t really had any time to actually play. This Thursday at 8pm ET we’re hoping to change that with the inaugural SpellTable Dev Stream. Tune in at twitch.tv/spelltable.
»0.1.18 brings a slew of new functionality along with a global cloud of relay servers!
»With CommandFest just over two weeks away, we wanted to dive into some engineering behind how SpellTable works and how we’re scaling. As some of you may know, our video layer is peer to peer. That means your video feed goes straight to your opponents and no one else. The main reason we do it this way is cost. We simply couldn’t afford to run SpellTable with hosted video yet, although we do plan to have it in the future. There are some drawbacks to the peer to peer solution. More CPU is needed to encode your stream and more upload bandwidth is required to upload your stream to each opponent. Additionally we cannot support too many players and/or spectator mode.
»Small update for 0.1.17 which includes a few small improvements and onboarding help for new users.
»Since we launched VirtualEDH we have been humbled by the embrace of the EDH and MTG community. Although we started purely focused on EDH, we’ve realized the need for this resource to expand to other formats. In order to embrace all formats, we decided to rebrand with a new name, SpellTable. In the near future we plan to branch out and support any format including Modern, Legacy, and Standard. We will always keep our EDH specific features and encourage you to send us any feedback at info@spelltable.com.
»Hey everyone, we got a pretty decent sized update this time around with some much requested features. Including the ability to use a mobile device as your camera!
»Hey there, here is a quick update that adds flip card support. More details below.
»Hey everyone, we just put out an update with some seemingly small improvements but should go along way to help make the app that much better. So let’s jump right in…
»Hey all, today we pushed out an update including some features a few users have been requesting. So let’s check them out.
»Hey all, today we released some much needed updates to improve our peer to peer servers to improve overall reliability. In addition we added host functionality to games which now allows hosts to reorder player turn order, kick players, and close games.
»Today’s update consists of a fix to address player videos randomly shrinking in size and updating player video order so turn order is not clockwise.
